Description

This book presents a series of studies on collaborative practices and their impact on supply chain performance. Part I emphasizes conceptual frameworks to portray the relationship between collaboration and performance. Part II raises the question of information systems alignment to manage the coordination with suppliers and customers. Part III focuses on different formalized approaches (simulation, game theory, experimental economics, Petri nets and object-oriented design techniques) to analyze the impacts of various coordination mechanisms or decision-making behaviors on supply chain performance.

About the authors/editors

Valérie Botta-Genoulaz has been involved in several research projects about supply chain management and information systems and coordinated the second COPILOTES research project. Her research interests deal with supply chain management, information sharing, ERP systems, collaborative practices, and their impacts on enterprise performance.

Jean-Pierre Campagne is Head of the LIESP Laboratory in Lyon, France and he coordinated the COPILOTES project. His research focuses on the synchronization of flows and activities in the supply chain, and on distributed inventories management.

Daniel Llerena has been involved in several research projects about supply chain management and experimental economics. His research is focused on information sharing in the supply chain, combining theoretical approaches such as game theory and behavioral economics.

Claude Pellegrin has been involved in several research projects about supply chain management, manufacturing strategy, production management and project management. He focuses particularly on the combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies in empirical research.
