Description

This book identifies and describes the factors facilitating and/or inhibiting the implementation of knowledge management within project teams of modern organizations. To do this, the author has called upon organizational design theory and adopted a systematic approach to build an analysis framework - called learning organization design - which focuses on the impact of strategy, structure, incentive systems, individual characteristics and technology on the management of knowledge.

A longitudinal case study within the project teams in an international telecommunications group has enabled us to validate this model and to enrich it by demonstrating the emergence of a new organizational design for the management of knowledge, taking into account the role of culture and boundary objects in the creation and sharing of knowledge.

It is aimed at a wide audience including masters and doctorate students, teachers, researchers and professionals.
